William Eaglstein, M.D., a trustee of AID, has written a book titled The FDA for Doctors, which has been published by Springer. This book, which can be useful for both physicians and non-physicians alike, aims at explaining the “…FDA as an institution, understanding its nomenclature, its societal role, its polices, goals and challenges.” Dr. Eaglstein, who has had a distinguished career in academic dermatology, basic research, clinical investigation, and industry, has also been a member of and chair an FDA advisory committee and has been a consultant to several divisions of the FDA.
